Apr 26, 2010 - @miyamoto771 one end has the node in it....in all i have seen or owned anywaysits pretty easy but from what i understand, with bamboo you need to burn the holes in cause drilling splits the wood. PVC pipe rocks for practicing the build but you have to drill it

' Running' sympodial bamboo spreads underground and forms large thickets from a single plant. 'Clumping' monopodial bamboo stays in place, although the clump will get larger in time. Running bamboo usually has larger culm diameter.
